William Ackerman (left), (father of Florence Powell, maternal grandmother), US navy, 1898, served aboard the U.S.S.Maine, he left ship in S.C. before it went to Cuba.

3921 Dennison Ave

Garrett House on Dennison Ave near Clifton Heights, Pa. This home was built by Thomas Garrett, husband of Sarah Price, in 1812. Thomas owned the land to Darby Creek where he owned the mills. The mills and land were later sold to the Kent family.







This is a picture of the same house in the 1920's, not sure what the occasion is or who is in the picture.
